Positive Behaviour for Learning

PB4L at Brightwater School

At Brightwater School, we have developed the following purpose statement through the PB4L framework – To be a school community built on strong respectful relationships. Our school culture fosters resilience, connectedness and a sense of belonging.

Our school values are embedded in everything that we do at Brightwater School, and the AWA structure creates a clear way for students and teachers to remember our expectations.

Acknowledging success in demonstrating the expected behaviours is the job of all staff, and this is done by giving whānau points to those students who demonstrate our values and expectations.

At our Learning Celebrations each fortnight, we acknowledge the success of each whānau group, and see who is in the top three places.

The winning group at the end of the term will be acknowledged and celebrated!
